William Diaz Granados

Mr. William Diaz Granados is a native of Panama City, Panama. Mr. Diaz Granados was born and raised in a multicultural environment as the son of a Panamanian father and an Ecuadorian mother. He went to an American parochial elementary and junior high school in the Canal Zone while spending a lot of time in American military bases in Panama. He went to a private bilingual high school in Panama City where he completed his secondary studies. He then graduated from Florida State University and the University of Central Florida and received degrees in both Communication and Education. Mr. Diaz Granados began teaching at Lake Brantley in 1993 where he received recognition as rookie Teacher of the Year. He is a true Patriot as he has spent his entire career wearing the red, white and blue.  Mr. Diaz Granados is an Advance Placement teacher in the World Language Department and currently teaches Spanish 1, Spanish 2 and AP Spanish Language and Culture for native and non-native speakers. Mr. Diaz Granados is also a nationally licensed soccer coach and has coached both club and high school teams in Central Florida for over twenty years. He has held positions as a junior varsity coach, assistant and varsity coach with both the girls’ and boys’ programs at LBHS and is currently the junior varsity and assistant varsity coach for the Lake Brantley high school boys’ program.
